Talk on current research at School of Computing Science, U. of Glasgow, by Prof. Alice Miller Featured

On 14 January 2020, the B.Eng. in Software Engineering program was very pleased to welcome Professor Alice A. Miller (Professor of Computing Science) and Ms. Shonagh Maak (International Recruitment Manager) from University of Glasgow. Professor Miller gave a talk introducing current research in the School of Computing Science at Glasgow. The talk was attended by Software Engineering students and lecturers, as well as prospective candidates of the B.Eng. in Software Engineering program. The research at the School of Computing Science spans all major areas of computing science with focuses on the following themes: Cyber security, Healthcare technologies, Media and data science, Programming languages, and Understandable autonomous systems. The School has been ranked No. 1 in Scotland for research impact and No. 6 in the UK for research intensity in the UK REF 2014 ranking.

After the talk, Professor Miller and Ms. Maak joined a meeting with the management team of the Software Engineering program to discuss further collaborative activities between KMITL and U. of Glasgow.
