Credits and Grades
Credits
The credit for each course is described by four numbers of the form
C (L - P - S)
where
- C = Number of credits of the course
- L = Number of lecture hours per week (in a regular semester)
- P = Number of hours of laboratory sessions or practical sessions per week
- S = Recommended number of hours of self-study per week.
For example, the credit of Mathematics 1 course is 3 (3-0-6), which means that
- the number of credits for this course is 3,
- the total number of lecture hours is 3 x 15 = 45 hours/semester,
- the total number of laboratory or practical study hours is 0 x 15 = 0 hours/semester,
- the recommended number of self-study hours is 6 x 15 = 90 hours/semester.
